Flight Lieutenant John Hope Clark   Print  E-mail 

Flt. Lt. John Hope ClarkRoyal Air Force Volunteer Reserve. Service No. 81051.

John Hope Clark was born on 21st August 1910.

On the 26th January 1943, aged 32, whilst returning from OPS over France, and piloting a Wellington III aircraft, he attempted a landing at R.A.F. Wytton (Huntingdonshire). R.A.F. records state: 'Coned in search lights, fired distress flares, went into blind dive.'

Flight Lieutenant Clark's grave can be found in the southern churchyard of St. Andrew's Church.
