Private Charles Henry Davies1st/4thBn, Kings Shropshire Light Infantry Service No.201126.

Charles Henry Davies was born in Church Stretton and lived at Chelmick. He enlisted in Shrewsbury.

On the 2nd June 1918 he died of wounds received, during the build-up to the second battle of Marne.

He is buried in Chalons-Sur-Marne East Cemetery, Marne, France. Grave No. 763. He is also commemorated on the family grave in St. Andrew’s churchyard.
