Lance Corporal Frederick William Evans24th Bn, Royal Fulisiers (City of London Regiment) and formally Kings Shropshire Light Infantry. Service No.C68637.

Frederick William Evans was born in Hope Bowdler – the son of Thomas and Mary Evans, of Mill Cottage, New Hall, Church Stretton.

Frederick William Evans enlisted in Shrewsbury.

On 8th December 1917, aged 22, he was killed in action.

He is buried in Hermies Hill British Cemetery, Pas de Calais, France. Grave No. I. C. 5.
